(DITI) is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that allows the examiner to visualize and quantify changes in skin surface temperature. A digital infrared camera is used to take images which convert the infrared radiation emitted from the surface of the skin into electrical impulses that are visualized in color on a monitor.
All thermal images are taken by our Certified Clinical Thermographers. These infrared digital images are then submitted to our medical interpretation services. The infrared digital images will be interpreted by our expert team of Medical Doctors who are specialists and trained Board Certified Clinical Thermologists.
A Doctor can then use the image map to determine if abnormal hot or cold areas are present. These hot and cold areas can relate to a number of conditions for which the Food and Drug Administration, Bureau of Medical Devices has approved the thermography procedure.
